if reforming immigration policy, who is helped, hurt, and how if the total number of immigrants were increased or decreased in a year?

Answer:

Reforming immigration policy will help the unemployed workers in the country. They will be able to find jobs as the labor supply surve will shift to left and thus amount of unemployment in the economy will decline.

The losers of this policy will be producers or the employers as they will have to pay higher wages to the workers employed now. The immigration workers were available at lower cost also decline in the level of unemployment will lead to increase in wages. Also, immigrants will be harmed as they will have to look for jobs elsewhere. The number of job opportuinites will decline for these people.

The opposite happens when the immigration policy is relaxed and number of immigrants increased. The employers will be the gainers and worker class of the country will be the losers.
